Why Shanks came to East Blue from the New World & Luffy’s Burden – One Piece Chapter 930+

Shanks came East Blue at least 12 years ago. Oda stated that Shanks became a Yonko even before he met Luffy!

So no wonder Whitebeard and others were shocked when they learned that Shanks lost his dominant hand, in East Blue.

Bartender Makino said that the Red Haired pirates made several trips while they were staying in the East Blue.
So why did they make several trips in the East Blue and what was their objective?

Shanks meet Luffy at partys Bar in Foosha Village His greatest joy was teasing Luffy!

Pirates' adventure fascinated Luffy and he greatly admired Shanks crew.
When Garp saw Shanks in Marineford, He said that Shanks inspired Luffy to become a Pirate!

Now we know that among the Yonko, Shanks bounty could be the highest! so most likely when he met Luffy his bounty was atleast 2 Billion.

Mountain Bandit Higuma bragged about his 8 million bounty in front of Shanks!
No wonder Shanks Crew burst out of laughter at Higuma's ignorance! I must admit, Higuma had balls (haki coated & seastone coated)!

When Higuma kidnapped Luffy, Shanks could've surely saved him. His conquerors Haki was enough to deal with Higuma but he didn't rather he chose to sacrifice his dominant hand for Luffy!

When Luffy said that his crew would be even stronger than Red Haired Pirates, Shanks lent his strawhat to Luffy until their promised reunion.
Does that mean Shanks came to East Blue to look for Luffy and inspire him to become a Pirate?

Rayleigh said that 10 years ago (now 12) he met Shanks and he excitedly told him about Luffy.

He said "Rayleigh san, I was really Surprised.. there was a kid in East Blue who said the exact same thing captain Roger said! Those exact same words as the captain!"

So it means that Shanks didn't expect someone like Luffy in the East Blue. In other word, Shanks was surprised to meet a kid whose traits resemble Gol D. Roger!

Rayleigh also easily figured out Luffy and Roger's similitude at the Auction House on Sabaody!

If meeting Luffy wasn't preplanned then why did Shanks go there?

20 years ago, the user of time-time fruit, Kozuki Toki, made a prophecy but it was vague.
However, The Shogun Orochi interpreted it as 20 years later nine samurai would come to Wano to end his tyranny and open the border of Wano.

Most likely, Shanks learned a prophecy that he would meet a boy in the Eat Blue who would fulfill Roger's incomplete mission. He would be Roger's successor.

Most likely, Shanks knew about Roger, Portgas D. Rouge adn Ace.
He might've learned that Roger's son lives somewhere in East Blue and that's why he set out to find him.

Most likely that's the reason he made several trips in the East Blue to search for Roger's son!

Perhaps, Like the world Government, Shanks also thought that Rogers's biological son was the promised one who would fulfill the will of D.

However, after meeting Luffy and spending time with him, He figured out that Luffy is the chosen one, Roger's true successor!

Near the end of Marineford arc, Shanks hinted it when saved Coby from Akainu.
He said Coby's valiant act of stalling Akainu for a brief moment had greatly changed the fate of the world!

Rayleigh said to Luffy that Shanks is waiting for him in the New World. In chapter 903, Shanks said that he'll meet Luffy soon.

When Luffy meets Shanks, he'll reveal outrageous secrets which will blow our mind!

He might also reveal to Luffy that he is the chosen one and he has to shoulder the burden his ancestor's will and fulfill their wishes.
